Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders' house was reportedly broken into on Sunday, while Sanders was making his NFL debut.
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio first reported the news on Monday, with Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot confirming the report shortly afterwards.
It is unclear whether anything was taken from Sanders' home during the break-in. No potential suspects have been identified, per Florio.
Sanders took his first pro snaps for the Browns on Sunday, taking over for Dillon Gabriel, who was ruled out with a concussion. The Ravens went on to win the game 23-16, as Sanders struggled to turn things around.
Sanders appears to be the latest pro athlete to have his house broken into during a game. Multiple NFL players were targeted by burglars last season, including Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The situation reached a point that the NFL issued a warning to players about the string of burglaries, followed by the NBA issuing a similar warning.
